Barrie SC/Simcoe County rovers League 1 Ontario

  • What is League 1 Ontario?

    League1 Ontario is the province of Ontario’s pro-am, standards-based, senior league. Founded in 2014, the league began with a ten (10) team men’s division, which has now grown to 16 teams in the men’s division and includes a separate 14 team women’s division.

    League1 Ontario serves as a stepping stone between the high performance youth level elite amateur and professional levels of the game.

    Owned and managed by Canadian Soccer Business (CSB) and sanctioned by FIFA through the domestic bodies of Canada Soccer and Ontario Soccer, League1 Ontario’s primary focus is the showcase and development of Canada’s future stars.

    L1O will feature the following divisions in 2024:

    - League 1 Premier (Men and Women)

    - League 1 Championship (Men and Women)

    - League 2 Ontario (Men and Women)

    - U20 Reserves (Men and Women)

    The Simcoe County Rovers FC will be running the following reserves teams in 2024 (operated by BSC):

    Women’s League2 Ontario

    Women’s U20 Reserve

    Men’s League2 Ontario

    Men’s U20 Reserve

    League1 Ontario (L1O) is a high performance standards-based senior soccer league. L1O is sanctioned by Ontario Soccer and is recognized as an important step on the established talented player pathway, providing the highest level of senior soccer competition in Ontario (L1O).
