Goalkeeping Development
The Barrie Soccer Club provides a service where the ‘Number 1’ can get position specific training from our qualified GK Staff Coach. This is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills and get instruction on the art of goalkeeping and become a better goalkeeper. There is NO charge for this program and it is voluntary; but highly recommended; to attend all sessions. Goalkeepr sessions take place at the Barrie Soccer Club Development Centre on Hwy 26 and Currie Drive in Midhurst.

Coach Development Program
The BSC is fortunate to have a number of individuals in the club that have a Provincial B coaching license or greater. This qualified technical staff consists of a Club Head Coach, several Master Mentor Coaches and Goalkeeper Coach. This team allows the club to run a very successful high quality coaching program. All coaches are offered three OSA clinics per year, as well as several pre-season House League coaching session’s that are age group specific. Monthly technical sessions are available for all Rep level coaching staff. Rep coaches are encouraged and supported to experience the Provincial “Pre-B” Coaching Clinic.
Referee Development Program
Held in early spring under the auspices of the Ontario Soccer Association, participants must pass a course to qualify to referee in the BSC. These are paid positions which the Club offers to our members beginning at age 12. The Club employs mentors who then assess the referees and assist in their development. More information.
