House League Program

House League starts at U4 and goes up to Senior Open Men’s and Women’s and with over 320 teams. Over the past four years the Club has significantly changed the structure of our House League to allow young players to improve their skills and appreciation of the game while still offering opportunities for adults to play socialize and stay fit. We started by introducing a Micro Program for ages U4-U6 that allows the kids to learn soccer skills by playing in small sided games with emphasis on fun and getting lots of touches of the ball.In 2009, we introduced Kinder Soccer.Kinder Soccer is a parent/player participation program that introduces soccer to 3 year olds and their parents.

Starting at U8 to U10 we have introduced the U8 Development Program to tier our House League players based on their skill levels. The intent of a tiered system is to enhance the enjoyment of the game for all players who will be more comfortable playing at their appropriate skill level. Players are grouped with others of relatively similar ability which allows them to enjoy the game, compete, and continue to develop their soccer skills.

Player Mentor Program
This is a 12 week program run from late May to mid-August that matches interested BSC teams at the house league level with a qualified senior BSC member (University or College student) who will attend practice sessions with the team. The Mentor will provide training techniques for the coach and players. As well as giving the players role models, the program provides someone to emulate and answer questions regarding future soccer endeavours.
