For students under 19 years of age as of December 31, 2009, who attend school in Barrie and surrounding areas.

| We are looking for new members... |
Have you ever thought of joining a service club and giving something back to your community? The Optimist Club of Barrie is a service club that strives to “bring out the best in kids”. We currently have 34 members and are interested in building our club to a larger membership. We support and donate to many youth organizations and causes in the Barrie area, including area scout groups, Simcoe Chess Club, junior golf programs, Barrie Soccer Club, the Simcoe Community Services Foundation (children with special needs) and Barrie Candlelighters (families with childhood cancer members), just to name a few.
