  The Barrie Soccer Club is delighted to announce that John Chalmers has been named "Coach of the Year" by the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame Society.
John has been a valuable member of our club for the past 16 years, coaching in the house league system then progressing into the competitive Rep level.
John has also served on the clubs Board of Directors for 6 of those years, helping the Barrie Soccer Club grow to what it is today.
Over the past 3 years John has coached the Provincial Womens O.W.S.L team from Barrie that in 2010 won the Ontario Cup and represented Barrie and Ontario at the Club National Championship.
Congratulations John for your many years of dedication to the players and the Barrie Soccer Club.
